- VERIFY OIL LIGHT COMES ON. CAR HAS TO BE DRIVEN 15-20 MINUTES. WHEN CAR IS STOPPED AND AT IDLE THE OIL LIGHT COMES ON. REVVING ENGINE TO 1000 RPM'S WILL CAUSE THE LIGHT TO GO OUT. REMOVE UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLDS AND FUEL RAIL. DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE OIL SENDER, A MECHANICAL GUAGE DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. R&R OIL SENDER WITH NEW OEM PART. RETEST AND OIL LIGHT STILL COMES ON AT HOT IDLE. THIS IS DUE TO A LOW OIL PRESSURE CONDITION THAT IS INTERNAL TO ENGINE. LOOSE CLEARANCES IN MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS AND CAM CAP JOURNALS. THESE CLEARANCE ISSUES WILL ALL CONTRIBUTE TO A GENERAL LOSS OF THE ENGINES ABILITY TO MAKE AND MAINTAIN OIL PRESSURE AFTER THE OIL TEMP INCREASES AND THINS OUT. ENGINE HAS VVT AND VVT RUNS OFF OIL PRESSURE. THERE ARE MANY PLACES THAT COULD CAUSE INTERNAL OIL LEAKS THAT CAN NOT BE EASILY DIAGNOSE OR PROVEN TO BE THE ISSUE. RECOMMEND ENGINE REPLACEMENT TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE
